TEAM NEWS: Herta Puts XM Satellite Radio Machine Fourth on LMP2 Grid at Houston

Photo by John Thawley HOUSTON, Texas (April 20, 2007) -- Bryan Herta, driver of the #26 XM Satellite Radio Acura, qualified fourth in the LMP2 class for Saturday's running of the second-annual Lone Star Grand Prix in Houston, Texas. Herta posted a best-lap speed of 97.19 miles per hour (1:02.331 seconds) during the qualifying session. The XM Satellite Radio team will start fifth overall.

Herta will be sharing the driving duties for the 2-hour, 45-minute event with Marino Franchitti. The pair drove together at the Acura Sports Car Challenge of St. Petersburg.

The Lone Star Grand Prix will start at 6:30 p.m. (EDT) Saturday, April 21. Television coverage will be provided by CBS Sports on a tape-delayed basis beginning at 1 p.m. (EDT) on April 29.

Bryan Herta, #26 XM Satellite Radio Acura:

"It is disappointing after the strong practice session right before qualifying. The XM Acura was good in the afternoon. We had a problem with the power steering when we went out and I came back in to check it. When I went back out, the car didn't feel the same as before. Maybe it cooled down and the track wasn't the same. I don't know. We'll have to get ready for the race and survive the track on Saturday. The track is bumpy and could be tough on the cars."
